Abstract

The article focuses on neurosurgeons' observations of poor outcomes among patients with pre-existing do-not-resuscitate (DNR) orders undergoing cranial neurosurgery. Analyzing data from over 30,000 patients, the study reveals higher mortality rates and reduced use of life-sustaining interventions among those with DNR orders, emphasizing the ethical considerations in managing such cases.
