Abstract

The article discusses the no-touch endoscopic full-thickness resection (NT-EFTR) technique, which aims to achieve R0 resection in the treatment of gastric gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs). The technique involves closing the gastric wall defect after resection to prevent tumor rupture during retrieval. NT-EFTR is considered safer than endoscopic submucosal excavation (ESE) for large tumors with intraluminal growth. The size of the gastric wall defect is usually smaller than the tumor size, and further research is needed to evaluate the long-term outcomes of NT-EFTR for gastric GISTs.
