Mapeamento das metodologias de avaliação de tesauros na literatura nacional e internacional1: descrição dos aspectos descritivos.

The thesaurus is a dynamic instrument formed by a set of terms linked together by semantic relationships. The instrument models a specific domain of knowledge that is also dynamic. Therefore, it must periodically go through an evaluation process. Thesaurus evaluation, carried out using specific methodologies, aims to collect and gather useful data for analysis and decision-making, resolution and solution of problems related to thesauruses. It aims to present the results of a search strategy that aimed to map thesaurus evaluation methodologies in national and international literature. It is configured as a research with a qualitative approach, of an applied nature, with an exploratory objective and bibliographical research regarding the procedures. In total, seventeen studies were found that present thesaurus evaluation methodologies. The studies were summarized in a table and analyzed according to five categories. They are: Methodology, Authorship, Year of Publication, Country of Publication, Documentary typology. The construction of theoretical-methodological foundations regarding the topic of thesaurus evaluation, and the gathering and presentation of this information in a synthetic and organized way can contribute to reflecting on how the topic has been studied in Information Science and contribute to the carrying out of future studies.
