The article reflects on the changes in the theory of psychoanalytic technique, especially in working with children with autism, early trauma, and psychotic disorders. The importance of establishing an intimate relationship with the patient and promoting emotional development through symbolization and reorganization of the psychic space is highlighted. Clinical cases are mentioned that illustrate the importance of emotional containment and understanding on the part of the analyst.
