Abstract
- The article titled "Infill Density Effects on the Mechanical and Thermal Properties of Copper-Plated 3D Printed Parts" explores a solution to the issue of poor mechanical properties in 3D printed plastic parts. The authors suggest that electroplating the parts with a suitable metal coating can improve their mechanical properties. They also propose that adjusting the infill density of the printed parts can enhance structural properties by creating a mechanical interlocking effect. The article highlights the positive impact of these procedures on the thermal properties of the parts as well. The authors of the article are Tommaso Ludergnani, Giulia Fredi, Lorenzo Malagutti, Andrea Balbo, Andrea Dorigato, Francesco Mollica, and Valentina Mazzanti. [Extracted from the article]
