Abstract
- An adult man developed wearing off phenomenon and dyskinesia while being treated with levodopa and levodopa/carbidopa for Parkinson's disease. He initially received oral levodopa/carbidopa and other medications, but later switched to levodopa/carbidopa intestinal infusion. Despite adjustments to his dosage, he experienced intermittent off periods and increased dyskinesia. The addition of opicapone helped decrease his off time, but also caused moderate dyskinesia and impulsivity. Adjustments to his maintenance dose improved his symptoms, and he continued to receive extra doses of levodopa/carbidopa infusion once or twice a day. [Extracted from the article]
