Abstract

The article titled "Philosophy and Negativity: On Hegel's Path of Thought in Jena" is a review of Fernando Forero Pineda's doctoral thesis, published by the National University of Colombia. The author argues that Hegel created an "ontology of negativity," which allows for human experience to always be open to the unforeseen. The article explores the relationship of philosophy with its time, Hegel's dialogue with Kant's transcendental criticism, and the meanings of reason in Jena's speculative logic. The author highlights the importance of negativity in Hegel's dialectical-speculative thinking. [Extracted from the article]
