Abstract
- The article "Editorial" discusses current developments in group therapy training and new framework conditions. In particular, the new Psychotherapist Act of 2019 has implications for the education and further training of psychotherapists. The article contains contributions that deal with structural aspects of the new education and further training, as well as specific aspects of training processes and university integration. Historical perspectives are also presented. The article emphasizes the importance of basic group therapy skills and presents a curriculum for psychodynamic group therapy. The role of psychoanalysis in university teaching and research is also discussed. The article concludes with a contribution on mentalization-based therapy and its potential in group therapy training.
