Influence of innovation and exports on economic growth in ASEAN.

Innovation is one of the factors of non-macroeconomic in an effort to trigger the growth of the economy that can help the country to compete achieve higher levels of production and have a competitive advantage. Innovation is closely related to export activities carried out by a country with innovation it is hoped that this innovation will help smooth export activities that have an impact on economic growth. This study analyzed the effect of innovation on economic growth in ASEAN during the period years 2014 to 2019. The analytical method used is Pooled Least Square (PLS). The variables used in this study are economic growth, innovation, and the percentage of export performance. By applying the panel data model with expected to be known the extent to which the presence of innovation in economic growth in ASEAN. The calculation results show that innovation has a negative impact on economic growth in ASEAN, while export growth has a positive effect on economic growth. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
