Abstract

This article discusses the need for L&D (Learning and Development) professionals to adopt a continuous improvement mindset in order to make their processes more efficient. The article emphasizes the importance of articulating strategic thinking and getting analytical to understand the return on investment for developing a course. It suggests implementing basic lean techniques from the manufacturing world to increase efficiency, such as making the development process visible and written, recognizing gaps in the process, defining success through key performance indicators, removing roadblocks, and saving time through organized communication and processes.
