Abstract
- A 61-year-old man with non-small cell lung cancer experienced an infusion-related reaction during treatment with carboplatin, paclitaxel, nivolumab, and ipilimumab. He also exhibited lack of efficacy during treatment with amiodarone and epinephrine for ventricular fibrillation. The patient presented with dyspnea and had a history of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He received chemotherapy and experienced a grade 2 infusion-related reaction, which improved with treatment. However, he later developed ventricular fibrillation that persisted despite treatment, indicating a lack of efficacy. The patient was placed on venoarterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation and eventually recovered. The infusion-related reaction was attributed to the chemotherapy drugs.
