Abstract

This paper presents in two pieces a user-centered problem-solving process for the healthcare system based on design thinking. It outlines the approach, the mindset and a toolset for implementation. It also proposes a model for integrating design thinking into health professions education. Teachers should be sensitized to include approaches to promote design thinking in education, training, and patient education.
