Abstract

At the end of 2019, the media cycle was taken over by the news about the coronavirus, soon the whole world was enveloped by the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the New York Times, currently, the number is 4,297,830 deaths worldwide, 202,872,928 total cases. In Brazil, so far, 20,165,672 cases have been registered. Despite the great emergence of this pandemic by the virus caused by SARS-CoV-2 in our country and in the world, several options of diagnostic methodologies have been treated to help us detect this agent, helping to prevent its spread, detecting those who have already had a disease and, in some cases, favoring early treatment. This paper aims at each of these methods, describing how each one of them works in the diagnosis of COVID-19. This work is a bibliographic study, descriptive of the type of integrative literature review, starting from the bibliographic survey and analysisof bibliographic data available from previous researches.
