The National Center for Giant Panda Conservation and Research was recently inaugurated in Chengdu, China. This center combines the resources of the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda and the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, and aims to facilitate cooperation and exchange in giant panda research. The center has established an academic committee on giant panda conservation and a national innovation alliance.
