Abstract

The article reports on the two dozen hostages freed by the militant group Hamas in Gaza, while Israel released 40 imprisoned Palestinians to complete the first prisoner exchange deal during a ceasefire after weeks of war. It considers the ceasefire as an opportunity for Israel and Hamas to better their positions for future battles. It informs about the humanitarian aid provided by the United Nations (UN) to residents in Gaza that included food, medicine, clean water and fuel.
