Abstract

The British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology has released its latest issue highlights, showcasing a collection of interesting papers that highlight the complexity of drug studies. One paper explores the ins and outs of neurokinin1 receptor antagonism in nausea and vomiting, providing valuable insights for drug development. Another paper investigates the unintended consequences of pharmacovigilance interventions, shedding light on the importance of studying these effects. Additionally, there are studies on a new drug for spinal cord injury, the use of alkaline phosphatase in kidney transplantation, and the clinical pharmacokinetics of oxytocin for preventing postpartum hemorrhage. Despite the challenges of the past year, the journal continues to publish intriguing research and will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year. [Extracted from the article]
