Abstract
- In the article "Longitudinal Manipulation of Scalar to Vector Vortex Beams Evolution Empowered by All-Silicon Metasurfaces" published in Advanced Optical Materials, Yating Zhang, Yun Shen, Jianquan Yao, and their colleagues propose a systematic approach for designing functional THz devices using all-silicon metasurfaces. The researchers demonstrate experimentally the evolution from homogeneous to inhomogeneous polarization states along the propagation direction. The minimalist metasurface design has the potential to manipulate inhomogeneous polarization states and create ultra-thin, compact, and high-performance devices with wide-ranging applications.
