Abstract

This article provides a summary of recent events and activities organized by various chapters of the American Guild of Organists in the Mid-Atlantic region. The Delaware chapter visited St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church to learn about the restoration of its organ. The Central Maryland chapter focused on the importance of singing for people of all ages. The Potomac chapter held an officer installation and recital featuring organ students from the Peabody Conservatory. The Central New Jersey chapter presented Eric Plutz and his "Voyages with Vierne" project. The Southwest Jersey chapter held a musical benefit for Ukraine. The Chambersburg chapter had a luncheon meeting and music-sharing program. The Harrisburg chapter organized a student recital and collaborated with the Organ Guild of Lebanon Valley College for a Pedals, Pipes & Pizza event. The Lancaster chapter celebrated member Robert Horton's win in the AGO's National Competition in Organ Improvisation and held their annual picnic and hymn-sing. The Pennsylvania Northeast chapter hosted a "Meet, Greet, and Music" event. The Richmond chapter had a cookout, officer installation, and members' recital. [Extracted from the article]
