Abstract

The article discusses interference problems that occur across multiple simultaneously active cameras. It describes the proliferation of 3D cameras throughout society in things such as vehicles, cell phones, virtual reality devices, and others. It discusses the various ways in which light can interfere with the geometry of surroundings being imaged by the camera. It proposes several solutions and challenges of overcoming multi-camera interference (MCI) based on the similarities and differences between MCI and interference issues encountered in other forms of wireless communication.
