Abstract
- Current topics on diversity and related issues in the Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP) and the Physical Society of Japan (JPS) are introduced. Women members assumed the presidency in both societies for "state years." Awards in both societies encourage activities for women members. The influence of the COVID-19 pandemic is also discussed.
