Construção e Validação de uma Nova Medida: A Escala de Satisfação com os Papéis de Vida (ESPV).

Satisfaction with life, considered an important indicator of subjective well-being, often been evaluated as a global dimension. However, satisfaction can vary depending on the different contexts or roles in which the person is involved. Thus, it becomes relevant to assess the levels of satisfaction obtained with the performance of activities in different life domains. The present study aims to present and analyse the psychometric properties and construct validity of a measure developed to assess satisfaction with life roles. A total of 932 participants, aged between 19 and 72 years, responded to the SLRS, and the results revealed its potential as a measurement instrument. Both the Exploratory Factor Analysis and the Confirmatory Factor Analysis revealed a structure based on three components: satisfaction with professional, family and leisure life roles, with good accuracy rates. The results are analysed as a valid contribution in psychological assessment in career counselling, and in organizational context. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
