The objective of this article is to present the principle of dignity and that of vulnerability and their intimate correlation. To do this, the author philosophically explores the notion of dignity and vulnerability and lays the foundations for a Bioethics that transcends the hegemony of the principle of autonomy and starts from the recognition of every human being as a vulnerable being endowed with inherent dignity.
