Abstract

Will McPhail is a cartoonist known for his work in the New Yorker. He began drawing cartoons while studying zoology at the University of Glasgow and went on to publish cartoons in UK publications. In 2014, he started contributing to the New Yorker and became a recurring contributor. McPhail's cartoons often comment on human interaction and society, featuring animals such as rats and pigeons. He recently published his first graphic novel, In, which explores human connection, and followed it with a collection of his cartoons titled Love & Vermin. McPhail's work has received positive reviews and he was awarded the Society of Authors' Betty Trask Prize for his graphic novel. [Extracted from the article]
