Abstract

The flutter of the linear compressor valve plate is the main factor that affects the working life and performance of the compressor. Because the flutter of the valve plate will aggravate the fatigue failure of the valve plate and affect the stability of the mass flow through the valve plate. In order to study this problem, this paper uses a three-dimensional fluid-structure interaction (FSI) model to simulate the opening and closing process of the exhaust valve of a linear compressor. This method can effectively predict valve plate flutter and valve plate reflux. Based on the FSI model, the influence of compressor working pressure ratio and piston operating frequency on valve flap vibration period and valve flap return was studied. According to the simulation results, an empirical correlation between the predicted valve plate flutter period and the piston operating frequency is obtained. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
