Abstract

The scientific community is currently very interested in energy and environmental concerns. Due to their distinctive features, two-dimensional materials have drawn a lot of interest for technological applications. The MXene family of 2D materials, which is expanding quickly, has many advantages in energy and storage due to its excellent physiochemical properties. This study covers important developments in the area of 2D MXene and talks about how design, synthetic methods, and stability have changed over time. In addition to emphasizing the state-of-the-art applications, we also discuss the challenges and limitations facing the scientific community in the development of functional MXene with controlled structures and properties for renewable clean energy conversion and storage applications. Finally, the key issues and considerations that will shape the future of these 2D MXene-based materials in energy storage applications are described. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
