Metataeniacanthus suggrundi sp. nov. (Copepoda, Cyclopoida, Taeniacanthidae) recovered from Suggrundus meerdervoorti (Bleeker, 1860) (Actinopterygii) in Japan.

Metataeniacanthus suggrundi sp. nov. is described based on a single specimen of the female recovered from the inner surface of the operculum of Suggrundus meerdervoorti (Bleeker, 1860) (Perciformes, Platycephalidae) in Japan. S. meerdervoorti is a new host for the genus. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
