Abstract

The article discusses research published in the 2023 issue of the journal "Nurse Education Today" which adopted visual ethnographic methods to explore how compassionate care is taught within the pre-registration nursing curriculum by nursing lecturers. The study identified representations of compassionate care that include reciprocal and relational response, compassionate people, curriculum, constructive feedback and compassionate culture.
