Abstract

Paulo Freire's legacy has been a source of interpretations and resignifications by educators of different curricular components. In this sense, we have been approaching the work of the patron of Brazilian education and educators who share the same utopia of, through School Physical Education, materializing political-pedagogical practices in the light of Freire's teachings. The intention of this dialogical movement permeated by the participant research was to identify and delineate political-pedagogical and epistemological principles of Physical Education at school in the light of Liberating Pedagogy. As a path taken, we built a collective of resistance and used the narratives of our Life Stories, the sharing of experience reports and Pedagogical Letters, and the dialogue in Culture Circles. As considerations, we highlight the possibility of building counter-hegemonic research in Physical Education at school, considering teachers as intellectuals. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
