Medidas para el avance de la implementación de la Plataforma de Acción de Beijing: un análisis de la formulación de los planes de desarrollo departamentales con enfoque de género en Colombia (2020-2023).

According to World Economic Forum, gender inequalities are still present in several countries, despite the international agreements reached as a consequence of the struggles of the feminist movement. The Beijing platform for action (1995) proposed several recommendations among which, the need to advance in the institutional architecture as a tool to contribute to closing the gaps between men and women is emphasized. To alleviate this situation, Colombia has incorporated several specific measures to guarantee progress in women’s rights. One of the strategies led by the Government of Colombia in the last period has been the generation of opportunities for women through incidence in the formulation of the Territorial Development Plans of the Pact for Women´s Equality included in the National Development Plan “Pacto por Colombia, Pacto por la Equidad” 2018-2022. The result of these efforts has been the development of institutional strengthening actions in favor of women’s rights in departmental entities, something that is reflected in the analysis of the statistics revealed by the studies “Progresan las regiones, avanza Colombia” and “Colombia sin techos de cristal”, analysis documents of the Development Plans 2020-2023.
