REACTIONS OF 5-METHYL-ISOXAZOL-3-AMINE WITH ACTIVED ENOL ETHERS.

This study described the reactions of 5-methylisoxazol-3-amine with activated enol ethers in the reflux of xylene. When enol ethers are diethyl ethoxymethylenemalonates, the intermediates isoxazolyl enamines were converted to the corresponding isoxazolopyrimidinones. The products of these reactions are isoxazolylenamines when enol ethers are ethoxymethylenecyanoacetate, or ethoxymethylenemalononitrile.
