Abstract

This study described the reactions of 5-methylisoxazol-3-amine with activated enol ethers in the reflux of xylene. When enol ethers are diethyl ethoxymethylenemalonates, the intermediates isoxazolyl enamines were converted to the corresponding isoxazolopyrimidinones. The products of these reactions are isoxazolylenamines when enol ethers are ethoxymethylenecyanoacetate, or ethoxymethylenemalononitrile. All the synthesized compounds were characterized by, MS, IR and NMR spectroscopy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
