Abstract

Intuit, the maker of TurboTax software, is hiring content moderators to ensure that its generative AI-based assistant, Intuit Assist, remains within prescribed bounds. The company plans to build a team of eight full-time moderators to review the content generated by the AI system and prevent employees from leaking sensitive data. Intuit's homegrown content moderation system uses a separate large language model to automatically flag objectionable content, and human moderators will review and improve the system's ability to block harmful content. While the goal is for the AI model to do the bulk of the content review, human reviewers are still necessary. Other tech leaders are also exploring the use of human moderation or investing in third-party software for content safety filters. [Extracted from the article]
