With the increasingly demanding requirement of environmental protection in China, the proportion of non-cyanide gold extraction in the gold metallurgy industry is increasing. This paper summarizes the types, performance, and gold leaching efficiency of novel environment-friendly gold extraction agents emerging in recent years in China, and focuses on the analysis and discussion of the synthesis and gold leaching mechanism of these gold extraction agents. It is suggested that further optimization of the synthesis process of the novel environment-friendly gold extraction agents, the research on the gold leaching mechanism, and continuous enhancement of its adaptability to different types of gold ores, are the key research directions of the future popularization and application of this kind of gold extraction agents, in order to provide references for the realization of "green, environmentally friendly and safe gold metallurgy".
