Abstract

This study aimed to design a media for physics learning based on Android apps. The learning media are designed based on conceptual discussion, simulation, and video with mini-quizzes containing cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. Android apps have been tested to be valid, practical, and effective for use in the classroom. The adopted model development is the ADDIE model which stand for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The media were tested by physics education expert and experimented on a small group tests. Data were collected through questionnaires analyzed through descriptive statistics, interviews, and observations, and analyzed through qualitative analysis. The physics learning media was produced named Phy-Cast (Physics-Cast). The Android apps contain several senior high school physics topics namely discussing parabolic motion, fluid statics, and quantum phenomena. As a result of the study, it was found that Phy-Cast, physics learning media, has good compatibility, and there is no major problem when used. Phy-Cast has been tested in a small group, and the results have shown that the learning tool is valid, practical, and effective for use in the learning process. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
