Abstract

Hybrid molecules based on C60 fullerene and strained polycyclic hydrocarbons have been synthesized for the first time using the Bingel–Hirsch reaction. Thin films based on the synthesized hybrid compounds have been obtained and their surface morphology has been studied. Organic field-effect transistors have been fabricated based on thin films of the С60 fullerene adducts bearing fragments of strained polycyclic hydrocarbons. Current-voltage characteristics of the transistors have been measured and the mobility of the charge carriers has been calculated. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
