Abstract

The article entitled "Dual-Task Gait Training Associated with Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation on Functional Mobility of People with Parkinson's Disease" discusses the effects of dual-task training associated with transcranial direct current stimulation on the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex during gait training in individuals with idiopathic Parkinson's disease. The experimental study was conducted with 11 participants with Parkinson's disease, who received transcranial direct current stimulation simultaneously with dual-task training for 12 sessions. The results showed a minimally clinically important change in functional mobility assessed in the dual-task condition, but there were no changes in simple functional mobility. The study received support from the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES). [Extracted from the article]
