INTERFERÊNCIA COGNITIVA MOTORA NA MARCHA DE IDOSOS.

The article "COGNITIVE MOTOR INTERFERENCE IN THE GAIT OF ELDERLY INDIVIDUALS" presents an experimental study that investigates the interference of cognitive activity in the gait of elderly individuals. The study involved 17 elderly individuals who were evaluated through clinical instruments and subjected to gait tests on a treadmill with and without cognitive activity. The results showed that gait with cognitive activity presented a significant decrease in the number of steps and cadence compared to gait without cognitive activity. Additionally, the elderly individuals had a lower number of correct answers in the cognitive activity tests during gait.
