Abstract

The research problem is the decline in the price of citronella leaf distillation, especially during the rainy season, high water content will cause citronella oil to be less good and slow down the process of distilling citronella leaves. Rainy weather factors greatly affect the distillation process. To simplify the drying process, a dryer is needed so that the fragrant citronella oil is of good quality to be distilled and the selling price of the fragrant citronella leaves is stable. The purpose of the study was to identify, design and implement a citronella dryer. The method used in the research for identification and design is the Kansei Engineering method through distributing questionnaires through respondents. Conclusion is desires of appropriate product designs according to respondents include designs that can provide added value economically for both farmers and refiners, Develop innovative product design.
