Development of a Sociotechnical Module Exploring Electric Vehicle Batteries for a Circuits Course.

This "Innovation in Engineering Teaching Practices" paper focuses on the development of a course module for an undergraduate introductory circuits course that highlights sustainability and life cycles of electric vehicle (EV) batteries. The EV battery module leverages circuits course concepts, introduces students to sociotechnical material, and emphasizes the circular economy in electrical engineering.
