The protagonist of Tremor is named Tunde, and he shares a great deal with the protagonists of Cole's previous novels. As one reads Tremor, it becomes apparent that Cole's objective is not to draw readers closer to his protagonist, to tell his story, or even to make his readers feel what Tunde feels.
