Abstract

The article discusses the challenges posed by seasonal influenza viruses and the limited effectiveness of current vaccines. It highlights the need for broadly protective vaccines that target conserved regions in the influenza virus hemagglutinin (HA) protein. The study presents the development of group 2 chimeric HA (cHA) vaccine candidates and their effectiveness in eliciting broadly cross-reactive and protective immune responses in mice.
