One example of a purse seine with one boat and using lamps is currently employed at the Mayangan Coastal Fisheries Port (PPP Mayangan). Based on monitoring data from the PPP Mayangan, there has been a 13.9% increase in the use of purse seine fishing gear, rising from 216 units in 2020 to 246 units in 2021. Considering this data, a review of the purse seine fishing enterprise is conducted to evaluate its financial viability. The review includes financial analysis to determine whether the fishing operation is profitable or not. The purposive sampling method was used to collect data for the review, involving several field visits with interviews and observations of selected respondents. In total, 20 respondents representing purse seine fishermen at PPP Mayangan were chosen for the study. The findings of this study indicate that the purse seine fishing operations at PPP Mayangan generated a profit of Rp.28,310,000 over four trips, with a revenue cost ratio of 2.23, which suggests a profitable enterprise. The payback period for this business is 33 months, indicating a relatively quick return on investment. Based on the review results, it can be concluded that the purse seine fishing business at PPP Mayangan is a successful fishing enterprise with a fast return on investment, making it viable for maintenance and improvement.
