Abstract
- Keywords: Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.); CRISPR/Cas9; base-editing; ALS; herbicide-resistant EN Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) CRISPR/Cas9 base-editing ALS herbicide-resistant 1923 1925 3 09/20/23 20231001 NES 231001 Genome editing has been employed to introduce accurate and predictable genetic mutations in plants, gaining wide acceptance due to its high efficiency, precision, usability and significant potential for crop improvement (Manghwar I et al i ., [5]). The gained herbicide resistance appears to be gene dosage-dependent, whereby the T SB 2 sb plants with simultaneous base conversions in both I AhALS2-A i and I AhALS2-B i genes grew and thrived upon herbicide application, while those with mutations in only one I ALS i exhibited no newly grown leaves (Figure 1f).
