Abstract
- The article discusses India's hosting of the G20 leaders' summit in September 2023 in Delhi, India and its significance for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Despite challenges in reaching consensus at high-level G20 meetings during India's presidency, the article highlights the success of Modi's focus on representing and leading the "global south," boosting India's international image, and serving as a platform for Modi's personality cult ahead of a general election next year.
