Estratégias de educação em saúde nos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental: um estudo de revisão integrativa.

Abstract

Historically, the fields of education and health are interconnected in search of better living conditions for society. It is important that health education is addressed from childhood, in order to promote knowledge and reflections on the theme and its dynamics. The aim of the present study was to review scientific publications related to health education in the early years of elementary school. Therefore, the literature review used the electronic databases Pubmed, SciELO, Virtual Health Library (Lilacs and Medline) and Capes Periodicals as a research source. The keywords health education, health at school, health promotion, schoolchildren and early years were used to search. The selection of articles had the following inclusion criteria: original articles from studies carried out in Brazil and published in portuguese, english and spanish, in the range from 2004 to 2019. 23 studies were included in this review. The most frequent themes related to health education were food and nutrition education and postural education. As for the teaching strategies for the researched theme, it was possible to infer that most actions adopt strategies of a playful character. It is concluded that, the development of the theme health education in the early years of elementary school still occurs in a timely manner and most of the time conducted by health professionals, being necessary that, health be effectively part of the school curriculum, so that your approach becomes more effective and promotes permanent results.
