Pavement material technologies for a wiser walk: An update.

With sustainability and concern for the environment as the need of the hour, the contribution of technology in terms of new materials becomes inevitable. Amongst the many facets of a sustainable city, walkability emerges as a two-pronged tool promoting the health of citizens and upgrading the urban environment. A pavement for walking that caters to the needs of each demographic and manages the waste of a city by producing energy and contributing to a cleaner environment is an option less explored.
