Aspectos Regionais da Desigualdade de Renda: contexto brasileiro e o Paraná.

The present article analyses the brazillian income distribution, with special attention to State of Paraná. To accomplish the task, it presents an overview of income distribution in Brazil and explores possible causes of its territorial differences in the last decade. Amongst these ones are education attainment levels of the labor force and productive features of regions and states. Based on this scheme, the inequality question is verified at Paraná in comparison to the other areas, particularly in South Region. At a final section, it is drawn some expectations for the inequality issue in Paraná in the medium and long term and respective implications for its social policies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
