ARTE Y VALORES EN LA ANTIGÜEDAD CLÁSICA.

The depictions of art in Classical Antiquity are usually analyzed as a sublime expression of masters whose creations took place in the historical context of the Greek and Roman world, with great influence on the history of the subsequent art. In this article, however, beyond artistic achievements, it is considered to what extent those representations also reflected a series of values specific to the context, diverse, in which they originated and to what. extent, as result of their survival and reception. Throughout history, they have influenced the thinking of Western civilization. From this perspective, some of the themes that were the object of representation, of great boom in the arts, are analyzed, highlighting certain values of Classical Antiquity and their degree of impact on today's society.
