Open access has progressively become a tool for the democratization of knowledge for research organizations. Opening knowledge makes it possible to reduce the gap in terms of access to scientific information. This communication aims to present the experience of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in its efforts to implement an open access policy that facilitates access to scientific information for the purposes of research, prevention and good practices, as well as take concrete actions in defence of the environment.
