Abstract
- This article presents news briefs related to political events of New York. Friends of Inez Dickens made its first filing with the New York City Campaign Finance Board, reporting over $90,000 raised in just six weeks after entering the race, for the open seat in the 9th Council District. Andrew Cuomo, former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and candidate for New York Attorney General, has received the support of Assemblyman Brian McLaughlin. McLaughlin, who also serves as President of the New York City Central Labor Council, which brings together 400 local unions and represents more than 1 million workers across New York City, announced his support for Cuomo last Monday.
