CONHECIMENTO DOS PACIENTES DA ATENÇÃO PRIMÁRIA SOBRE SAÚDE BUCAL.

To evaluate the degree of knowledge about Oral Health of patients treated at the Basic Health Unit (UBS). This is descriptive cross-sectional research with a quantitative approach, carried out with UBS users in the age group 18 to 50 years, totaling 231 participants. Data were collected through a questionnaire elaborated based on the instrument proposed and validated in a previous study, which was adapted for the objective of this research. It was observed with the research, in general, users of the UBS have a satisfactory level of information on Oral Health, but there is still much to continue in the development of Health Education, mainly related to caries and periodontal disease. Therefore, it is essential to seek educational strategies in health, collaborating with preventive practices, with control and reduction of diseases through actions of promotion and health education at the collective and individual level.
